The Supreme Court REJECTS Trump 7 - 2: He Tried to Disrupt Mail Ballots Before the Midterms

The Supreme Court just handed Donald Trump a crushing 7–2 loss after he tried to impose new restrictions on mail-in ballots in the middle of the 2026 midterm election.

Trump’s administration wanted the U.S. Postal Service to use new voter-list, barcode, and ballot-envelope requirements that election officials warned could disrupt the existing mail-voting process. But the Court refused to let the administration force those changes through now, keeping the lower-court block in place for the midterms. Only Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented.
